Yah,

I think we need the ergo's of a minolta, the image quaity of a Canon, the speed of a Nikon and the lens of an Olympus all rolled up into one camera!

hello, the test photos use the 7d package lens. I don't think using inferior glass is the best way to judge a camera's potential. You don't even have to pay more for better, just buy the body alone and buy the better lenses used.( you will not get the D feature on the older lens, but for me that a good trade off)

bfedwards,

That's a good point.

It's difficult to tell which lens is being used on PBASE, unless you search for the camera and a particular lens.

Because I started this Topic I feel like letting you know what I choose.

I went for Nikon and I love it. I got used to the settings and controls in no time. Everything (at least for me) is very logical. Now, when I take my Minolta 7 I feel strange and I'm thinking of switching to Nikon film, too.

It is too early to glorifying it because so far I had only one session when I was shooting digital. (BTW it went very well, way better than I expected)

Hopefully I will be fluent in settings of thatdigital "toy" soon and I will feel as comfortable with it as I feel with 35mm.

Thanks for all your opinions.

I think your going to like your D50 a lot.

It's really one of the best buys for the money out there right now.

Good luck!
