The C5 and the P505 have both 5X Optical zoom and 5M.Pixels...I'm looking for both stills and decent videos and read both reviews by Steve. It seems like the two are similiar - any opinions would be appreciated.

*The new C6 has 6 MP. THat's the only difference betwen the 5 and 6?

Cheers,

Cy'.

Thanks Caelum,

Actually, I've visited the Sanyo DSC site yesterday and again today, and noticed they've added the C6 in between

I don't wish to wait until Novem'. And besides, it would take some time for the C6 to be imported to my area.

What would you recommend? the C5 or the E.P505?

Cheers

Just my opinion, I think the primary difference is the style: the C5 really is about ultra-compact portability, and sports a camcorder style. The P505 sports more of atraditional camera style (minus the viewfinder), and despite it's diminutive size is not quite as compact as the C5. The video quality between the two is up for debate, I haven't seen enough of each but frommy limited viewing the C5appears smoother to me (and does the P505 have image stabilization?). I'm surprised by how good the stills from the C5 is, I would really expect the P505's to be better, and maybe it is, I really can't tell.

I'm always waiting for the next, better product to get here, that's why I never get anything.

LOL

Well...I see not many answered.

I've read several others reviews. It seems like many praise the Exilim but not the Sanyo. On the other hand, Steve seemed to have a blast with the C5 and recommends it.

I don't know....I'm having some doubts. I'm looking for a decent stills camera that can take movies with good quality as well.

Maybe the Canon S2 IS?

I don't know...

I understand your apprehension about the C5, I've come across asomecomments on the internetthat say it has a few shortcomings (low light noise, audio noise). I haven't researched the P505.

I'm always having doubt, it prevents me from committing.:?
