Dear all

I'm trying to buy a new, small (ultra compact or compact) digital camera that I can also use for underwater photos.

I already own the Olympus C-5060 WZ but that camera is a little bit too big for the pocket. That's why I am now trying to find a second, little camera.

So far I am looking at

Nikon S3
Konica Minolta X60
Canon 750 (Canon 550)
FujiFilm FinePixF10

Can anyone recommend one of these cameras? And maybe has some example photos online? And even better: has anyone used one of these cameras for underwater photos already?

The Pixel/resolution is not so important but at least 5 Mio. would be nice. It is more important that the camera is fast and creates very good and sharp images.

I tried the Exilim S100 but I wasn't very satisfied. . .

Thank you
Karin

I usually try to keep my camera dry, but with the proper housing, I would imagine the F10 would be far superior to the other three you've listed, due to its high ISO capability (for low light photography) and its larger sensor (less noise).

Hope that helps.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I'd like to keep my camera dry as well :-)!

This camera will be sort of my "pocket camera" that I can ALSO use for UW-photos. But it's not the main buying reason.

The camera should be able to create sharp pictures and should be very fast.

In the meantime I had a look at all of them: I certainly don't like the x60. So I can skip that one. And I also don't like the look and feel of the F10, but I think that would be a good camera. I very much like the S3, but still waiting for Steves conclusion :-)
