I've been thru quite a few cameras canonA610 (too bulky complicated), casio 750 (quality issues),sony (macro mode issues no tripod option) olympus- i'll spare you all the details. Anyway, I think i've narrowed down my requirements to a basic few:

compact - supermacro mode - need closeups (jewelry, clothing labels)- ,mainly for internet so i don't want to spend alot of time fussing with the camera, large lcd would be nice too. Right now I have the Olypus 600 - I like it but realize the macro is 7cm and there is no view finder.

Ok so my requirements are more than a few but i am becoming more flexible as time goes on and iam realizing that the "perfect" camera does not exist.

Please help...........

Thank you in advance.

Miche-

Perhaps the Kodak V-530 will work outfor you. Here is an example.

Thanks for your response - yes - that's the quality i'm searching for - was this shot without a tripod? I've been playing around with the Olympus Stylus D600 and the Sony cybershot - sony seems to work ok for the macro but there is no option for a tripod and with the olympus i seem to have trouble with the focus.

I'll check out the kodak - thank you.
