hey all,
Well I bought a canon powershot a95 early last year and after playing around with it and experimenting I quickly realized that to take the kind of pictures I'm looking to take I'm going to need to get a much more flexible camera namely a digital slr camera. However, I am a college student (thus poor) and am still somewhat new to taking pictures as art, so I am looking to get a good fairly flexible digital slr camera for around $700 - 900 for the base unit (no lenses). I've looked at the rebel xt and it looks nice but I can't figure out what lenses work with it or where to find the lenses etc. (im a newbie to slr) So im basically just looking for some good suggestions and advice.
Thanks

legit-

You might want to take a look at the Olympus E-500 or E-300 two lens kits. They offera lot of bang for the buck and you get two quality lenses that cover everything from 28mm to 300mm (in 35mm terms).

Another nice entry level is the Konica Minolta 5D with anti-shake.

The Rebel XT comes with an 18-55 lens if you buy the kit.
