My pricelimit is around $300 bucks.
I Read around on steves digicams, and narrowed it down more or less to:

http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/produ...UseBVCookie=No

OR

http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/produ...;cm_keycode=67

Both reviews were really good, and giving good battery life.
IT's more an entry level thing, to replace a normal camera, and even maybe take some larger size pictures(5mpx is enough?or should I go for a 7?).

The 4X zoom also had me interested, though I saw a panasonic with 7x.

Any more suggestions?Or are those 2 really good choices? If so which would you choose and why.

dimesh-

I f the choice were mine, I would opt for the Canon A-610 in a fraction of a second. If you watch the reviews and user reports as I do, you would come to the conclusion that the A-610 is clearly the better camera.

BTW you could save about $25 by ordering the A-610 from either www.beachcamera.com or www.buydig.com, both are highly reputable suppliers. I have ordered several cameras from each website with fast service and complete security.
