Well.. store wise.. I can't help u.. as I'm in Canada.. Anyone else???

When I buy electronics / cameras.. I usuallly buy from a place that has some type of price guarentee.. and a good return policy.

Stabilization is very helpful in limited light. You can handhold at a much lower shutter speed. Stabilization doesn't help for subject motion though. Stabilization works as well at wide angle as at telephoto. You can shoot at lower shutter speeds at wider angles for good low light capability.

Higher ISO will help capture motion in limited light, but you get an increase in noise. The Fuji F10 is the best available for low noise with high ISO and it is competent in limited light. You would get better photos of still objects using stabilization, but high ISO capability is probably more versatile.

The Sony T9 isn't as good at high ISO as the F10, but it is quite good and also has stabilization.

The bulk of the f2.8 cameras are about the same in low light if they don't have stabilization or low noise at higher ISO.

edited to add: Hmmmm... the F10 doesn't have aperature priority mode and that's a problem...

Well I am really leaning towards the Cannon A610 or the A620. I hope this is the best match for my needs...
