The camera as large, he he, I am used to P&S, The grip is just excellent feels like a pro before you even shoot your first shot. Its operates so fast, I mean very very fast also it focuses so fast, I was aiming ti the flower on my desk, when my brother appeared it focused on him without a lag just so fast.

so many controls, I am just an amateur so it was still a litle bit complicated for me, but my impressions are just great its like nothing can stand bewteen you and by taking your shot (ammm maybe my brother :-) ).

He wants to upgrade to 1ds-mark II and maybe he will sell it for me in two months or so, he is a pro - but I just don't want to wait or spend three times more than I have to, but it is such a gem this camera, maybe I shoudn't have tried it

After spending two days with the canon 5DI must tell you that the its so hard to decide know, cause the pictures compared to the D50 are like heaven to hell .

There is just not enough to choose from on the entry price range, pitty, but still its is only a body that you can upgrade later on. so there it is - The D50 is the 'Champ' and I will go and buy this one after my exams... Did you know when Nikon will upgrad there D50 DSLR ??

1 Day after the return period expires with the vendor you buy one from (just kidding, but you never know about these things). :blah:

I doubt that you'll see a new entry level DSLR from Nikon anytime soon. The D50 just came out last summer, and wasn't readily available until late July. Considering about an 18 month life cycle that brings us to maybe this time next year.

I envy those new Nikon P&S cameras with VR  - Dam this E-330 does looks like a fine DSLR just waiting for the low noise evaluation and will see who's gonna be my partner for the next year to come -- Now I am reading alot of software for editing my photos Raw and Jpeg alike - But , boy, there are so many of them , do you recommend a professional editing software except photoshop, and have you heared about dark-room ?? any suggestions guys ?

WOW! Thought I was overanalyzing my purchase decision!!!

With the same debate as Idan, I've spent the past hour reading this post and I'm NOT EVEN HALF WAY THROUGH!!! Loving the general advice: Just buy something, anything. Go! Go take pictures. Learn the craft. Go out and do it.

Was there ANY studying going on?

Okay, back to page 5 or so. See you guys back here at the end of the post in a week or so. Wish me luck!!!
