Oh and the Kodak 850 is 330.95.



I do think the Image Stabilization would be needed... Wouldn't it? (I don't want blurry pics, I mean I get hazzy pics with my digital binoculars - I have to try and focus them myself and they have 10x optical ... sometimes I can get an ok pic... It is frustrating... NO actions with them... )

OH and I have read the info on theses here on the review... but like I said, it is confusing (terms/lingo) since this is uncharted water

Shelia-

The Fuji S-5200 has a maximum ISO setting (think of it as film speed) of 1600,thus making it good for lower light level shots, but has only 10X optical zoom, and does NOT have IS. That accounts for it lower price.

I was lucky enough to be able to do real-time testing of the KM Z5 & the Panasonic FZ5 & FZ4 - actually got the FZ4 - a LOT less digital noise. The Panasonics had a bit better image quality AND better anti-shake.

I use this for bird watching - sure wish it was smaller, but it IS tiny compared to a 35mm Slr !
