I did a detailed search and only came across one camera on the site that has SVGA 800x600 video, but it was only 15fps for a camera launched in 2004, so I have to think that with the improvements in technology there might be a solution for good quality video at SVGA available in a digital camera.* any ideas?* I'm REALLY hoping for a good combo unit and at this point have settled on a default position buying the Kodak V603 which is being released in a couple of weeks and has what is apparently very good VGA quality video with QT compression.* *I am totally price insensitive on this, and just want the very best option for a single small to medium-sized camera.* Would greatly appreciate any thoughts. Thanks!!!

after doing more reading, the Lumix DMC-FX01 coming out in a few weeks looks even better, with wide-angle and OIS for stills, and widescreen resolution video 848x480 which is better than just 640x480...

I can tell you the Panasonic DMC-FZ7 can also do [email protected]. I just got it last night so can't tell you how I like it yet but for the money and one night to play with it I think I got the right camera.
