My first and only digital camera has been a Canon S30. It's been a great introduction to the world of digital but it has limitations.

My last film camera was a Canon SLR with several lenses - my favourite was a 22-55 which I loved for travelling. The lens was small and on my trip to Greece took great shots.

I want the same great wide angle capabilities with digital. I like small point & shoot cameras but wide angle seems to be out of their range.

Can anyone recommend a P&S with good wide angle?

Or should I bite the bullet and go to dSLR?

I'd love to hear what everyone thinks?

The options seem to be either the Canon S-80 or the Panasonic FX01, which can give you a 35mm equivalent of 28mm.

That's kind of small range of choice!

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"Does anyone else find the lack of wide angle options frustrating? There only seems to be a move to more and more zoom.

If you can tolerate a larger camera, the Nikon 8400 and the Kodak P-880 both offer 24mm wide angle possibilities.
