Hi all,

I just read Steve's review of the Canon A540 but I couldn't find a statement that indicated whether or not you can fix red eye in-camera. Does anyone know if this is possible with the A540? Thanks.

Patricia-

No, I cannot find that the Canon A-540 has an in camera fix for red eye. However, that is really a minor issue, that I would not logically expect in an entry level camera.

I am looking at the A540 as well as the W50. This camera uses a 'zoom flash' that alters according to focus.

That is true, Davy-

However, the topic I was answering/dicussing referred to in camera red eye elimination. Yours is a different topic or feature.

I'd rather go for the A530. Has 5 MP on a 1/2.5" CCD. If you don't care for video but for best pic quality ...
