I am comparing these 2 cameras. I am looking for an all around camera. 200-350 (prefer 200 range). Mostly for web stuff but would like to be able to get a decent size quality print now and then.

Kodak z760 6.1mp

Kodak z740 I like the zoom capability on this one. 5mp

any help would be great

The Kodak Z760 is a very capable camera, producing great images. However, if you do indeed want more zoom, IMHO the Z7590 is a somewhat better choice than the Z740. I actually own all three cameras.

Thanks
unfortunatly the 7590 is not a choice for now but maybe...

I have the option of either of the above for 200.00 (both sellers claiming new condition)

assuming the claim is true is the quality/price ratio the same.

is the only real difference zoom and mp?

the 740 comes with a 512 storage card. or i can pay 180 without the card

:-D

The Z740 is a very sharp and creditable camera. It will certainly serve you well. It sounds like you have located a good deal.

A thought..................I just bought two KODAK refirb'd DX6490"s on "ebay" from the KODAK ebay store. I got them with docks for under $200.00 including shipping. Both are in perfect condition with full KODAK warranty. I also got a DX7590 from the same location with dock full year warrantyall right from KODAK ebay store for under $200. It's also in PERFECT condition. You do have to take the time to place your bids. If you go to buy it now, you will pay more.

Take a look

EDIT for a PS: you can also find Z7590's and many other KODAKS.

thanks!!!!!!!!

I wound up with both the 760 and the 7590 for just slightly over 300.00

was planning on sharing one with my gf but now we can switch off. (saving any custody disputes )

Also my first ebay experience... good thing i have no more money that could get addicting.

again thanks to both of you.

BeGreen....................I hope your dealings with KODAK on ebay turn out as well as mine have. I just bought a Printer Dock the same way. That came to $50.29. This is the best thing ever.

I just fooled around with the 850 is it the latest one in Bestbuy

the camera was nice real sweet, I taken my sd card and able to grab a snap shot, a full zoom shot, and a video clip when zooming in on vid it makes a noise of z..................................... like a gear but can live with it 1 meg per second,

I did not mind at al when zooming it worked nice no blurr but still had a 1/100 of a sec to focus on the shot, If I panned too fast the shot got blurred but once i was positioned in it was perfect.

now for the zoom 12x optical d not know what setting I was on in Vid or still I gota nice fuzzy pic around the main section of total zoom, and full range no zoom I also got some blur I pee'ed of some customer Lol b/c the flash went off .

otherwise it is on my list to Purchase 400.00
