i am going to marry soon and after that i will travel a lot..

so i need to buy a camera and here are my criterions

1.compact and fits in my pocket

2.very goodquality night (low light)pics (of course in day light also..).

3. I am a novice in this area and don't use too many options..

There is a tradeoff between overall camera size and low-light performance. The really small cameras often have on-board flashes of only limited range and no provision for external flashes. The smaller imagers in these models can also make them more prone to noise, limiting the amount the ISO rating can be boosted in low light without introducing unacceptable image degradation. The smaller, less expensive cameras also typically have lenses of only so-so light gathering ability near the telephoto end of their zoom range.

Fortunately, in your case, you don't need to blow your images up very big. This will help keep imager noise in your prints and your web-sized display images in check, even though your images may look absolutely terrible when blown up to pixel-for-pixel size on your display.

If it is a choice between having a small portable camera when you need one and none at all, then choosing a small camera makes sense. However, you can probably get a more versatile camera for your money if you can compromise a bit on the camera's size and weight.

thanks...

weight is not a problem for me..the only thing is size and image quality..

it hasn't to be ultra compact ..compact is fine with me..

can u suggest me what should be the best choice in that category?

and also what should be the best choice if i compromise the size a bit?

thanks once again.

The canon sd600 is a nice camera. It would be my choice.
