My father recently asked me about digital cameras. I immediately shuddered, remembering a painful moment several years ago when my step sister had sent him a fairly nice point and shoot 35mm camera with a two-step shutter release button.
I still have these photos where you could see our smiles getting strained and the sides of our mouths open as we tried to help him figure out that you push half-way for focusing, and then all the way to take the pic. He claimed he was pushing as hard as he could and nothing would happen, at least not until he was pointing at his foot.
He sent the camera back.
Which camera, or camera line, would you recommend that has an easy to use shutter release. Do any of the smaller fixed lens camera have a shutter release similar to a SLR camera?
