My old Minolta Freedom Zoom 90 camera of 15 years finally died in February 2006. It was a good but bulky; heavy camera which did take very good pictures. Which model or models by Panasonic; size isn't a concern; a camera with at least 5 to 6 megapixels; image stabilization; and a viewfinder. It can be black or silver. Any recommendations?

Ehh... now what features you would need to have?
Like what kind targets you would photograph? Wide landscapes, architechture or would it be mostly wild animals/birds? (good wide angle and long tele won't really fit into same camera)
And do you want good manual controls?

Also you said previous camera was bulky and next say that size doesn't matter.

I'd use the camera just as I'd used my previous camera; my old Minolta Freedom Zoom 90. Taking outdoor shots on sunny days; indoor shots during the holidays like Christmas; etc.

As for camera size; my hands are large so I would prefer a larger camera; similar in size to my old Minolta 35mm camera. You know any good digital cameras on the larger sizemade by Panasonic that might fit my bill? A camera with at least 5 megapixels; image stabilization and a viewfinder.

I LOVE my A610 Very close to the size of a 35mm cam, but it does not have image stabilization. Happy camera hunting.

I'd wager that if you were happy with that you would be very happy with almost any digicam on the market.

By viewfinder, are you saying that you want one of those tiny blury optical abberations they put on cheap cameras? I'm sure you will easily find that info when comparing models. There are plenty cameras availible with optical stabilization, I'd say browse them and pick any one that suits your fancy. Your just asking about camera specs, which are all availible in the reviews.
