I'm looking to buy a digital camera. I want at least 7 megapixels, Optical Image stabilization, movie mode, good quality images and a non-whimpy flash. It also has to be compact. (I.e., no DSLRs)
So far I've pretty much come down to the Nikon P4 and Sony T-30, and I'm leaning to the Sony. The advantages of the Sony are: better battery life, larger and higher resolution display, and the zoom is useable while shooting a movie. The advantages of the Nikon are slightly longer zoom and it is slightly larger = easier to hold.
I really like most things about the Sanyo VP 6 - but from the reviews it does not produce as good a quality images as the Nikon & Sony - particular in low light, and the flash has a range of about 4 feet more or less.
Any comments on these selections? Any good candidates that I've missed?
