I am looking for a digital camera and the important features I am looking for are:

[1] Negligible shutter lag

[2] Bright pictures indoors (i.e. a powerful flash) and ofcourse outdoors too :-)

[3] And, last but not the least great sharp crisp images :-)

I have shortlistedCanon SD600 and Sony W70.

Can anyone please suggest which oe should I buy?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Both the Fuji F-30 (very highly reviewded by Steve, http://www.dpreview.com and http://www.dcresource.com) and the Canon SD-600 would be my personal top choices. Those two meet all of your requirements and in addition the F-30 will give you the ability to inside photos without flash, such as the sample I am posting with this reply.

The Sony W-70 is pleasingly small like the other two selections, but it has just no had the high reviews of the Canon SD-600 or 630 and the F-30.

I have attached a no flash, hand help sample that was taken inside with the Fuji F-30 with just room lighting.

There is no doubt that Canon does a great job. But take a deep breath and read the Fuji F-30 reviews at www.steves-digicam.com. www.dpreview.com, and www.dcresource.com. You will find that this is the most highly reviewed compact point and shoot camera on the market today.
