Hi people... i was going to buy the canon 350D but when i see the pictures samples of the new Nikon D80 10mp.

That really impress me.... the pictures are really sharp with the lens kit.

My advise for the newcomers in photography that could be a good choice for $1300 (with the lens kit)

 bye 350D

:-) welcome D80

But I have a little problem my aunt come to peru in september 21 and the D80 realease date to buy i hope can buy one.... or i have to wait at least to september

Luix, you do know that both the D80 and the 18-200mm VR are heavily backordered, don't you? I don't mean to put you off, but those are the facts.
I suspect it will be some time in 2007 until one will be able to get a D80 straight off the counter.
Recent events have shown that Nikon is having problems with supplying the D200 and the 18-200mm VR and those two have been release quite a while ago.
Anyway, I just wanna say that you gotta keep it real and be prepared to wait for your "dream camera".
Cheers!
