If I don't print a pic every week my i9900 runs a series of cleaning cycles,(or priming cycles,) each one longer than the one before, about 3 to 4 cycles. It does this on it's own prior to printing the picture. This uses a lot of ink!Canon replaced my print head, but still the same. Anyone know of cure?????? Do all the i9900 printers do this?????
I work at a computer store and we have an i9900 on display now, since it came out. We've printed on it, and used the software it comes with. Knowing the previous model very well, I noticed that Canon allows for SPECIFIC colors to JUSt be cleaned rather than the whole set now (to purge when cleaned), and we don't print on it all the time (and the power stays on). We don't notice the inks going down and the printer doing cleaning or purging cycles just because the power on the unit is on and not being used.
