Got these shots of an avocet at the pond by where I walk hills.
After seeing the great avocet shots posted here I was totally surprised and happy to see this one at the pond. I think these are the prettiest birds. I felt very lucky to have a chance to photograph one. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Well done! Those are very lovely shots (and a lovely bird... I've never seen one myself.) The lighting and exposure are particularly well done. It shows off its plumage well.

love the second one, its blue legs pop out, along with its curved beak, and not to mention its orange neck. loverly shots!
