Hey Norm - good to see you in here injecting some balance into things!
Hawkeye - I said I was unsure of wading into the real versus unreal thing. I should have stayed out of it. They are indeed nice pictures and I have no problem with apologizing for doubting your statements. Oh, one thing I do have to correct... I do indeed own a camera. I may not take the greatest pictures with it, but I do own one! :-) And, Norm, I'm glad you went back to get an up-to-date shot of that Great Horned Owl. The juvenile is looking more like a Great Horned than ever. Handsome bird! |

Yep, it's a beaut, and it was also nice to be able to focus on the things that needed to be focused on, such as growing coloration and horns. Incidentally, one of the most impressive things I've seen with these owls is that they can sit for 15 minutes, not moving a muscle, then they focus on me with my camera and they begin to rotate their heads, round and round, keeping eyes fixed perfectly horizontally, as if fixing a focus right on me. then they stop. It's a very cool thing to watch.

Maybe it wasnt a good idea bit like Geoffs says and made me think that is : the owl has its bill open in the same position for all of these photos, like it's a mask? Seems a touch unnatural to me...
If is real fine , im apologize and like i said real or fake , the pic s are nice |

This one uses those little watch batteries, and I'm having trouble finding them so he doesn't sing as long as he used to.

Pavaros, it was a difficult choice and i nearly used the green but the orange won out as the brush was already stained.
