Default aaahhhh Song Birds???

These pheasants visit my birdfeeds 2 or 3 times a day. There are so many of them. They fight trying to get the feeder rather pick up the left overs on the ground.

The photo just does not look crisp and real clear. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I made the mistake of trying various settings and did not write the settings down with the number of photo to determine which settings worked best. I need to get better at that until I feel more comfortable with my camera.

The few posts of yours that I've looked at have shown signs of either being out of focus or camera movement causing blur. Try using a faster shutter speed (> 1/60 sec (faster is even better)) and/or use a tripod. It looks like a dull, overcast, winter day which means that light was lacking to give you good reflection for the colors. In cases like this, fill flash can be a blessing.

Keep working at it and keep posting your results. It's the best way to learn.

I applaud you for being motivated enough to take pictures in dreary weather! Here in Oregon, it's been so blah that I haven't even wanted to search for photo opportunities.
