The Dutch photography website, www.dutchphotozone.com, celebrated its first year, and we had a meeting, at the Amersfoort zoo, and after that we went to a restaurant. I'ts fun to go to a zoo with 22 people, most of them using D-SLR cameras. This is a small selection of my photos.

It's my habit to pick a favorite... Maybe the hyena. No, no, the lioness. Or it could be the tiger that has playtime in its face? I give up. They're all favorites. Tremendous job.

Something about that 5th one. Just the look of it sleeping there, and the paws crossed... my cat does that.
Truely beautiful shots, all of them. Great level of detail and a great look. Eric ps. Of course, the grin on that hyena is great. |

too difficult to pick a favorite. I am surprised to see no evidence of a retaining wall, especially with the angle of number 1 and 4.

on the first shot there was a sheet of 2-3 centimeter of glass where i took the photo trough. The glass was recently replaced, so there was little damage like scratches on it.
On the 4th photo the hyena was on top of a small building, and there was a barrier in front of me as well as water, about 2 meters wide. And with a F/2.8 200MM lense a wire fence disappears if you get close to it, and your object is a few meters away from the fence |
