Yeah the DOF is so small. It sure brings the bird out, but like melanie said, too bad for the tail getting the brunt of it...

Thanks for your comments. The bird was tending to hang around in the shade so I couldn't push the DOF anymore. I was down to 1/80th on this shot. As it is I like the feather detail, the bill and the eye. I'm saving the tail for next time
