Thanks Lin, Christie, and Tom.
I followed these around the meadow, trying to catch one on a shrub to get a good background. Got a couple fair pictures then this one came down in the meadow 15ft from me, showing his most beautiful feathers. Just got one shot. Perched the usual way they weren't as interesting. |

We had these all over the hay field in No. Ill when I grew up on the farm. I love to hear them and they are always clinging to a stalk like that. I wonder if the extensive use of pesticides hasnt reduced their foodsourse and them. I have never seen one here in NW Ark.
