When I go out riding it's with quite a crew. 3 dogs (borderXLab, BorderXAussie, Jack Russell) and an extra horse, which I leave loose to run and buck and play. Today when I stopped to give everybody some water I lookeddown my back trail and saw I had company. . .

Boomer, my yearling, kept going back to get a closer look at this guy. . .

I was aware of him for about a mile before he got bored and went his own way. . .

My camera is only a 3x zoom and I really could have used a FZ10 today. I want, I want. . .

Is that a small coyote or a big fox? Either way, a wonderful animal.

Nice shots. I like that first one, gives you a feeling for the mood of the place and how it fits in.

Suzan, what an interesting ride you had! Apparently Mr. Coyote thought so too. I love that second shot with the two characters taking time to consider each other. I wonder if they were talking to each other and, if so, what they were chatting about.

Great photos, but what really attracts me is the horse in the second photo. Such a beautiful color! Mind if I ask what color he is registered for? In the photo, he seems like a "dusty palomino," for lack of better words.

Suzan, getting a shot like that third one with a 3x zoom was nothing short of dynamic. Watch out fox if you get that FZ10 because his eyeballs are yours, right up close!

Nice job. I'd love to run across something like that and do as good a job of capturing the action. Not only that but it looks like you were fighting the backlighting of the sun, yet still caught the action. Overall excellent shot.
