Went down to my "bird park" this afternoon to check on the killdeer nest, and was hugely surprised and thrilled to find they'd just hatched yesterday, and all 4 chicks were foraging with their parents in the area around the nest. I shot over 250 photos! Near the end of the session, a crow tried to snatch one of the chicks, but the parents immediately mobbed the crow as the chicks ran of in 4 different directions. One of them scurried toward where I was standing, and came within 10-12 feet, where I got these shots. Talk about a golden opportunity!!

Thanks, guys! I got some more shots of them a few days ago, when they were 8 days old... out foraging with mom in a grassy park. Only two of the original four left, so I hope those two make it!
