The sun's reflection on those fuzzy antlers is really nice. How did you get so close to this one?

Thanks for your comments. The deer was about 35 ft away on this shot. I used a Tamron 28-300 zoomed to 92mm on a 300 D. He came walking up the road. I simply stopped, rolled down the window and started taking pictures. He approached my truck and slowly went around it, grazing all the way. This picture is cropped to about 62% of the original.

Being in your car definitely was the edge you needed to get this deer close enough to get that great shot. I've had the same experience with them when I've been driving on logging roads but never seemed to have my camera with me at those times - what else...
