ehhhm, what to say, difficult, very difficult.
Its a Duck! ![]() The photo is sharp, but could do with a bit more light, but that was probably beyond your control, being outside. You could try to get a bit more exiting photo, This type of shot looks like a 5 minute job, walk to pond, look for duck, make photo standing at the edge, go home. Wait for a few minutes and see if something more interesting happens. Maybe a duck flies away, and you could capture it in flight. like this image: ![]() Or get lower, so you can see more of the surrounding, or get real close, if possible, for a nice closeup. In other words try to be more creative ![]() |

Well, I'm just an amateur, but I like it (Just wish the the duck wasn't in the dark so much). The reflection in the water is nice. Is that the eye reflected or a drop? Is that ice? Purty cold dip in the water. Brr. :-)
Thanks for sharing. Beep Beep, Darby |

Hi Marc H,
here is a second photo which I managed to take after throwing the ducks some nuts. HI Darby, the first photo was at taken by the camera on auto, as I am also still learning but I did crop it a bit. and as you can see from this new photo is was ice. I am still waiting to try to get some good flight photos. But as it was -2C I wanted to go home and get warm |

Brr, -2°F. It's like 72°F here in California. I'd be a popsicle.
Nice second shot. I'm still using the auto settings on my camera too. I've been trying out the manual settings and hope to learn more. Have fun and stay warm! Quack Quack, Darby |
