I had so much fun today capturing this little fuzzy ball of delight tucked away in the bushes. I have no idea why he didn't rush away but I'mextremely pleased that he decided to give me a show.

Some interesting things happened today. Pleasevisit my "mating" post from todayas well, I still can't believe what played out before my eyes. I was ready to quit when everything happened at once, first themating thingand then this little ball of fuzzy greatness, all in the same little woody area.I had basically gotten nothing all day and was ready to pack it in.

The first photo below was cropped a bit in order to focus on the feather sharpness. For those interested in the technical details: these photos were lightened slightly and sharpened a touch, other than that they werenot processed and no flash was used.A 70-200 IS L Canon lens was used with the Rebel; 1/400; F4; ISO 400

I really like the first one a lot, great detail as Vito mentioned, and a beautiful bird, too, which helps. I have a friend who just picked up a digital rebel, it's a wonderful camera.
