Since you asked for comments.

The exposure is a bit off. There is a loss of detail on its neck... it is a bit too bright. I almost wonder if it isn't out of focus slightly as well.

I generally like the framing, with the purple flowers. I would have croped it just above the duck, though. I would also have experiemented with cutting off the metal tree support in the background as well. The trouble with doing that is that it makes the picture rather wide and skinny. So other croping might be necessary... which you might not like, so leaving it might be a better option. Picking the right framing/crop is always difficult.

I'd certainly look at cropping the image to concentrate more on the Heron.

Maybe look at cropping out the right hand edge and the shot above the base of the metal tree support. That would leave in the nice purple flowers as Eric suggests.
