well done.
The background is a little distracting 'cause of the branches, but I still like it. Which of those lenses did you use to get it? What settings? Give me the info! Was it windy? Looks like the little guy needs to straighten some feathers. Get properly composed for the picture. ![]() |

Hi Eric, I used the 600 with a TC/14E. This guy was bristiling his feathers around, hence the moving look. I totally agree on the backround being distracting, but with the warblers, you have to shoot before they blast off on you!!

Hi Kevin
I like your shot - very nice little fellow. But I agree with Eric on the background, but we're not always able to decide that for ourself aren't we! I think your DOF is a bit wrong. It seems to me that the tree is somehow more sharp than the bird...maybe I'm wrong! Regards Klaus |

Hi Klaus, the bird was in motion, the tree was not, hence the difference in sharpness

What was your shuttertime ? It must have been really slow then! But if you were using your 600mm I surely understand.

Hi Klaus, I checked the .NEF of this shot, the shutter was 1/350 at F5.6 (F4 -1 for TC14E). Don't forget that with the digital FOV crop I'm effectively shooting at over 1200mm!
BTW what time is it in your neighborhood? ![]() |
