Hi,,,i`ve been posting on the Kodak forum here for some time,,did not know this existed,,,geoffs told me to come here,,,,
I`ve got tons of hummer shots and bald eables taken with my DX6490.. Here`s a hummer shot,,,,if you guy`s/girls like i`ll post more,,i`ve been at these for a few months now trying to get the shot i`ve been looking for,,getting there,,,but still trying... Brian |

Here`s one ,,on the wing,,,so to speak....i used a Nik polarizer filter on this one,,,,,just playing with it a little,,Nik filters is a add-on to PSE2.0 that allows you to add filters digitally after the shot is taken,,,they seem to work fairly well..

Brian, good to see that you made it over to the Wildlife section! These hummingbird pictures are all just so great.
I really like the second picture the most and the only thing that I might do to improve it is to run it through a noise reducing program like NeatImage or NoiseNinja as the sky does show evidence of a bit of noise. We have our own resident hummingbird expert, Hummer, whohas been busy during the summer and hasn't posted much, but I bet he'd love to see these pictures. Great to have you here. Post some of your bald eagle shots too. |

Brian, can you give us some particulars for each of the photos? Things like shutter speed, aperture, ISO, flash used, focal length shot at, etc...

Well geoffs,,,,here`s the second shot runthrough Helicon noise filter...
I didn`t really look at the pic before i posted it,,,usually don`t do too much enhancing when i post,,but this looks better don`t you think ???? I rthink you loose a lot of detail though.. Brian |

Yep, that is a very good improvement. Coincidental, too, because I was just running that very same picture through NeatImage as an experiment just as you posted your own noise processed image :-)
