I am looking at purchasing a digital camera with the intent of insect photography (esp mosquitoes). Does anyone have any recommendations or requirements so I can capture quality images and reproduce them up to an 8x10?
Any favorites or references y'all have, I'd be very interested to know. Thanks in advance. ian |

Take a look at the Nikon 4500. I believe Nikon are the best when it comes to macro.

Just to follow on from Steve6's comments, I'd certainly recommend the CP4500 for its macro, but you should also allow for the expense of a good tripod and a remote release as well (if you can find a co-operative subject). There are some insect shots in my galleries if you want to look at some macro examples, but here's a recent shot of a Pale Tussock moth.
