Long-tailed duck

Went up to north a bit today to find the elusive long-tailed duck... had never seen one before. Spent a couple of hours looking with no luck, and when the fog rolled in, I figured my quest was doomed, but then about 45 minutes before the light went away completely, three of these little beauties showed up just offshore. The fog had thinned a bit but the light still wasn't very good, and they weren't super close, but I'm happy enough to have finally seen one!

Great photos.

Did you see these along the Washington or BC coast?

Thanks! These were taken at Blaine, WA, about 1/4 mile from the Canadian border.
