Went up to north a bit today to find the elusive long-tailed duck... had never seen one before. Spent a couple of hours looking with no luck, and when the fog rolled in, I figured my quest was doomed, but then about 45 minutes before the light went away completely, three of these little beauties showed up just offshore. The fog had thinned a bit but the light still wasn't very good, and they weren't super close, but I'm happy enough to have finally seen one!

Thanks! These were taken at Blaine, WA, about 1/4 mile from the Canadian border.
