I was getting to close to their nest and they did not like it.
Sun on the wrong side as usual but gave a neat light effect. ![]() ![]() |

I was going to say "that's no kingbird!" but of course, its just like no kingbird near me. A quick look in my bird book shows that there are some kingbirds like this one. Do you know what type it is? You haven't filled in your location, so I can't guess based on that.
Either way, they are lovely shots. Very nice capture. Eric |

Thanks for taking a look and the kind remarks.
I live in Boise Idaho. I will have to figure out how to have that show up. There is a concentration of about 10 kingbirds nesting in a small area by a pond. I will post some pictures of babies in a nest later. The nest this bird was telling me to get the heck away from. There is also a Bullocks Oriole in there I have been chasing around for 3 weeks trying to get a good picture of. I have lots of bad pictures of it, sound familiar to anybody, birds are tough. |

I was lucky enough to see an Orchard Oriole this year... but never a Bullocks. So if you get a shot please post it!
If you chose "My Account" in the upper right, and then the "profile" button, there is a place to put your state. Eric |
