These guys were at the feeder this morning. Male & female... mated. The male (sitting on the wooden feeder) was going through some gyrations & calls while the female placidly took it all in. Supposedly, this is one of the very few ways to tell the difference. Bluejays mate for life and have a very close-knit social structure. They are nowhere near as skittish as they have been recently so I'm hoping the feral cats have moved on.
