I only see those types of birds in the zoo, fabiod! Thanks for posting their pictures! Do you have a field guide to help you identify the birds of Brazil? It'd be great if you could let us know what they are when you post their pictures...

I just had to comment again. I was looking at what others were saying and that caused me to look at the pictures again. I just love how soft their colors are. The shades remind me of colored chalk pictures. So delicate.

Actually I don't have any guides :sad:. It is a good idea, maybe I will by one.

I don't know the names of these specific birds but it seems that someone else in this forum does. Take a look at the thread about the Brazilian Heron and you will see that someone asked me to post these pictures (he visited my gallery in fotopic.net).You will see that he described their names but I don't guarrantee that their right.

Thanks for the info fabiod. I'll go look at that thread for the ids of these birds. It really is a good idea to have a field guide at hand. It'll help you get to know the birds in your area and then you can be the "expert" on these forums about birds in your country... :-)
