I just witnessed a wonder of nature and a battle.
I was sitting on the bank of the pond photographing the Avocet when a muskrat swam by. ![]() This Muskrat parked itself on the bank and went about it's business with the Avocet and Willet seemingly ignoring the beast. I was amazed but then again I don't know much about nature and the habits of animals. ![]() These animals seemed to get along better than some relatives I know. I was surprised. ![]() ![]() Then "another" muskrat swam past me looking like he meant business ![]() He wasn't so nice and seemed to have a great desire to rock the boat (I'm assuming that it was a "he") ![]() And he rocked it ![]() And rocked it (the rat's the lump of fur and water splashbelow the bird on the right) ![]() Then the "gentle" one seemed to get in on the boat rocking and both muskrats turned into real rats (now two lumps of fur) ![]() The male rat turned the female rat into a maniac (is there a lesson here?) ![]() And how was your day? |
