Default Can't help you

SOrry I can't help you with either of your bird I.D.s Sarah. But I really like this one. What a lovely background! And the catchlight inthe eye with the head turned like that makes it perfect to my old eyes.

I like you collection of lenses now...tell me does the 75-300 get much use now that you ahve the 300 f/4?

Default Photo ID

My first impression of this is that it is an Eastern Wood-Pewee. It has no apparent eye-ring, a kind of 'vest' with light color in the breast area, and wingbars. It is also perched in a seeminly very visible place, characteristic of pewees and other flycatchers, but not Empidonax genus flycatchers. Usually Pewees have a noticeable point to the top of the head, but in my experience with birds this sort of thing is variable. So anyway, get a second opinion, but I think that's what this bird is, given your geographic location. Habitat and behavior details would make it a more solid ID. Either way, it's a great picture!
