Orioles (Not Great, But Better Than Nothing)

The light was brutal and it was about 50 feet up in the trees but anyway..

Wow...

I dont think i've ever seen an Oriole in reallife.. though being on the west coast of canada might have a play in that.

I love em! Your bird pictures are just soo sharp and detailed!

Though I don't think i've ever seen an Oriole period, other than the MLBA team ;)

Wow, that's pretty good for 50 ft up the tree.
What is beside the oriole in the first one? Is that the nest?

Hi Guys, Gimli, thanks for the compliments.

Tracey, that is indeed the nest.

I would be very proud to get shots like these. I never have seen an oriole and that nest is wonderful

Janet, thank you again for the kind words.

2spyc, your compliments are much appreciated!! You must have some unique & colorful subjects in your area.

Kevin, like you, I have a wealth of wildlife in my gardens, although I could do without the deer eating my plants. I'm an avid gardener. I have a creek running through the back garden with lots of trees and shrubs - a perfect habitat for birds.

I get through 50 lbs of bird seed a week, so I dread to think how much you get through.

BTW, what kind of camera(s) do you use. I see you use Tokina lens.
