We saved a baby Robin from the neighbourhood cat. He hasn't quite learned to fly yet and I managed to get a few shots of him
Here's one: |

Ouch, if I don't cut myself on the cuteness I'll most certainly cut myself on the sharpness. Superb photograph!

Thanks to both of you for your kind comments.
Focussing on this guy wasn't really an issue. He's become so used to me being around and he kept quite still while I took the shots! |

Thanks aladyforty,
I used my Canon G3. I was able to get really close because this little guy was perched right outside our doorstep. I'm pretty worried about him right now because the neighbourhood cat is a real hunter and has already killed two other babies from the same nest. Now would be a really good time for him to learn how to fly:sad: |

Wow, they really are great and as I have a G3 it makes me realise just how good a photo one can produce in the right situation. I keep looking at all the new cameras coming out and wondering if i made the right choice back in november last year, I think yes but I really want to get some add on lenses to zoom in more. Ive got the telephoto 1.75 and Ive seen another online that is a 2.2. What i want is a 4 . Wondering if I can get one anywhere.
once again, lovely sharp shots. |

I don't know of any 4x add-on lenses. I think you can get a 3x but I think there are some issues with it especially if you're taking hand-held shots.
I don't have any add-on lenses yet but I'm still pretty happy with my G3. I've had it since last April and all in all I'm happy with the shots I've been able to take. It's a great camera for portrait shots but I do find it a little difficult taking action shots. Thanks again for your kind comments:-) |
