This island was stocked with 10 nesting pairs of puffins a few years ago, and now total about 120 nesting pairs.

Nice shots! They really are cute, they look cuddly as all get out but I bet that big beak could give you a good snap it you tried it.

Hi, again. I guess the beak is really strong and sharp. These birds surprised me, because on the picture postcards I always saw, I got the impression that they were fairly large birds. I see now that they are only about 10" - 12" tall. at most. When they fly they look like little footballs with wings.
