Lousy weather has kept me from getting out much lately, and cabin fever was setting in this afternoon, so I decided to take my chances and hope I wouldn't get rained on... I'd heard there was a red-headed duck at a pond not too far away, and since they are uncommon in this area and I didn't have any photos of one of those, I figured I'd go have a look. Sure enough it was there, all by itself, hanging out with some ringnecks... handsome fellow, for sure! May go back later this coming week, if the promised sun breaks appear, and see if I can get him in some better light!
