This little sucker bit me on the ankle before I noticed him and took the picture. I was so busy birdwatching, I didn't see him sunning himself. On close inspection of the photo, I noticed a little damage near his neck, so I assume I stepped on the poor fellow! (lucky for him, I had on very soft moccasins at the time. (unlucky for me, my ankles were exposed!) Although the bite was nearly painless, it left a clear pattern of fang prints. We both healed nicely, (this was taken late last spring) and we both still hang out in my backyard, but at a more respectful distance.

Artshot...
Your photo (with your accompanying story ![]() just begs for an appropriate caption... Maybe... "No thanks. I have already had foot-in-mouth disease." Anyways...Good prose. Good pic! ![]() |

I am flattered by your praise! I don't believe anyone has ever refered to my blathering as prose before...
And btw, digcamfan, if your camera migration should ever take you on a trek away from your C-2100uz, let me know and I'll offer to give it a very loving home. ![]() |
