He starts to pivot 180. A little difficult with one leg.


He has to jump up with a flutter to fully turn.


And, touch down.

I need to get out and see if I can capture the Pileated Woodpeckers we have at our new place.

Thanks, Will. Pileated WPs have eluded me thusfar. I can hear them in the distance, but that's as far as it goes.

We have a few different species of Woodpeckers in our woods. Two of which have come to the feeders in the backyard. I'm going to add a birdbath this spring/summer, and upgrade the feeders in hopes to attract more species.

That should do it. I get Downies, red-bellied, and I used to get flickers. But, no pileated. I've seen photos of them at feeders... just not MINE.
