A cute sequence. This is baby, but already pretty cunning, as are most of them.

Heheh very nice images. I like the first one the best. It's almost as if the little fella is posing for the camera

I think he's just saying, "Watch me do this."
Great sequence. I wouldn't ha blieved it if I hadn't seen it. |

Thanks for the comments. If you read my comment in the Thrasher post, I think that I overexposed 2 of the 3 in this sequence. Thanks again, folks.

You did over expose, but in this case, who cares? It’s not trying to be an amazing technical picture. It’s meant to be fun. And it is! My problem is that most of what I shoot is more technical and presentation than just fun scenes… so I get hung up on that stuff. In the first picture, I think the squirrel is checking to make sure you are ready with the camera. Not worth risking such a maneuver without someone recording it. I once recorded this show on PBS (filmed in the UK) about this obstacle course a woman set up in her back yard to test how intelligent squirrels are. It was rather amazing how they figured out all the tricks and worked their way through. They made a second one (with a much more elaborate course) and they eventually got through that one as well, but it took longer. And not surprisingly (to me) it was the female squirrel that figured it out first each time. Eric |
