Got these yesterday.I still have problems getting it right with Black colored birds. This guy was quite arrogant in his attitude. He knewI was there the whole time and just screamed abuse:-)

These shots are special.
The Raven is one of the most intelligent birds around and this applies to others in the "crow" family, like the blue jay, but I've heard that the Raven is the most wise of all. In fact, it can reason and actually pull long strings up that have food tied to them, have fun rolling in the snow just for the sake of fun. They can also live for more than 40 years. These are intelligent birds and I'm sure that what you describe isn't far from what was actually happening. You were probably on it's hit list of the day. I'm actually not sure that this "isn't" a Raven, since it seems to have a tuft of hair covering it's beak on top and could very well be a Raven, from what I can see here. Hopefully some of the experts here will be able to pin this down. Great photos! |

well Im told they are Ravens, but we call them plain old crows here. They are everywhere here and noisy beyond belief:-)
